THE BROKEN BONES IN BOLIVIA CLUB

Last spring Bill got thrown off his horse and broke his ribs.
Last month Finn got thrown off his bicycle and broke his hip.
Friday I got thrown off my motorcycle and broke my collarbone!!!!!!

8 weeks on the DL for me. Bummer. It's been 3 days and I'm already bored out of my mind!! It hurts! But what will hurt more is selling "Blue Thunder!"

Costa Rica Part 3

This was our third time to Costa Rica for our Master's degrees, one more to go. It was just real fun this time. Brooke and Alison are amazing and we are so thankful you let us stay with you, have fun with you, and eat your food.

It was wonderful- both Jenny and John's parents met us at Lori and Bryan's house in Mississippi. It was so wonderful.

Christmas Break Part 2- WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE. It was cool, probably won't go back soon.

Christmas Break Part 1- DOWNHILL BIKING

It was a pretty crazy one. After John and Shiney finished their bike trip UPHILL to LA Paz, we took a four day DOWNHILL bike trip from 16,000 feet to the jungle (0 feet????). It was awesome.











But just like last year, when we were riding horses, Bill got a crazy horse, was thrown off and broke a rib, the same thing happened this year. Finn got a crazy bike ( I blame the bike) and on the toughest section of the entire four days he went down hars and got hurt. He ended up fracturing his hip in two places. OUCH.
He took an ambulance to La Paz, because we were in the middle of nowhere, but they said nothing was broken!!! Way to go docs in Bolivia!!! But this was actually pretty good news for us because Finn CAME BACK despite the pain and finished the jungle trip with us!!! It was awesome and would not have been the same without him. He was in pain and was hobbling around with a walking stick,. but again, we were so thankful he was able to come back and be with us.
